Cut 2cm off the end of each stem at a 90 degree angle, enabling each flower to have a good drink. When placing the flowers in the vase, ensure there are no leaves under the water line. If this occurs, remove the leaves as they will cause bacteria in the water.

Make sure you are using a clean vase to prevent any bacteria. Fill 2/3 of vase with water, and add flower food if you wish.

Regularly changing your water will help your flowers to thrive. Change the water when it becomes discoloured and top it up when needed.

Place your vase away from direct sunlight or heat, away from draughts and ripening fruit.

Keep an eye on your bouquet and be sure to remove any wilting flowers to prevent from mould (Botrytis).
